This is an exciting and challenging time to be working as a psychologist in Auckland. Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) has a commitment to improving the health of Auckland citizens and psychologists have an important role in achieving this goal. Here you will be recognised and encouraged for the contribution you make as a psychologist. The majority of psychologists specialise in providing advanced levels of psychological assessment and therapy for a diverse clinical population presenting in mental and physical health settings. ADHB is also committed to performance improvement which means that supervision, teaching, consultation, research, service development and evaluation, are further activities where psychologists are involved. Collaborative research occurs with the University of Auckland, and conference and workshop attendance is encouraged.
